In 2025, DigiFLEd moved from preparation to implementation – powered by collaboration and knowledge exchange.
A key strength of the year was learning from experienced colleagues who shared their expertise with colleagues from Ukrainian partner universities.
Our professional development programmes were shaped by insights from:
- colleagues from Maynooth University, who supported Moodle course design and quality-oriented online teaching,
- teams from the University of Western Macedonia, who led intensive training on digital content creation and collaborative tools,
- and partners from Tampere University, whose hands-on workshops helped teachers expand their toolkit for language skills development, screencasting, and responsible use of AI in text-based work.
Alongside this, 2025 brought:
- Coordination across 7 digital education strands, aligned with the Digital Competence Framework for Educators
- Strong focus on quality assurance and internal monitoring
- Intensive professional development programmes in Moodle course design, gamification, digital content creation, and responsible AI use
- Opening of Digital Language Hubs with VR and interactive technologies
- Expansion of Virtual University Centres
- Active engagement through webinars, Erasmus Days 2025, and stakeholder events
- Piloting new digital courses with students
- Launch of the open online course ‘Ukrainian Language and Culture’ (A1)
- Presentation of the AR-based e-book ‘Communication and Digital Media’
DigiFLEd continues, and we move forward together with our partners, teachers, colleagues, students, and everyone who supports the digital transformation of language education.
