In October the DigiFLEd team actively participated in Erasmus Days 2024, joining a global celebration of education, culture, and innovation through the Erasmus+ programme. The event highlighted the achievements of the DigiFLEd project, while fostering discussions on international academic collaboration.

Celebrations Across Partner Universities

At Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University the Department of English Philology organised a vibrant event to introduce students to Erasmus+ opportunities. Olha Dovbush, DigiFLEd Project Manager, presented the project’s goals and highlighted the transformative learning visits to partner universities in Ireland, Greece, and Finland. She showcased how these visits inspired modern approaches to integrating digital tools into foreign language education, focusing on online platforms, interactive resources, and distance learning methods.

Meanwhile, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University joined the celebrations, presenting its contributions to Erasmus+ project DigiFLEd. The event underscored the significance of learning from the Erasmus Generation as Ukraine strives for European integration.

Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University also shared updates on its DigiFLEd activities, including training visits and academic conferences. The team shared their progress in modernising university language programmes with a photo exhibition of their international collaboration.

At Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, the celebrations brought together students from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Spain, Uganda, and Argentina, who shared their Erasmus+ journeys. They reflected on the academic and personal challenges they overcame and the cultural moments that made their experiences unforgettable.

Erasmus Days 2024 underscored the DigiFLEd project’s pivotal role in advancing education through international cooperation. By integrating innovative digital tools and methodologies, the project continues to shape a modern, inclusive learning environment for Ukrainian students and beyond.
