Education Without Borders: Digital Courses Within the Project

by DigiFLEd | Feb 6, 2026 | News | 0 comments

The period from October 2025 to January 2026 marked a real breakthrough for university teachers and higher education students within our project. During this time, we officially completed the piloting of a series of innovative courses that rethink the teaching of languages, literature, and media in the digital age.

Together, we moved from theoretical foundations to the creation of modern, technology-rich learning content – practical, interdisciplinary and tailored to the real needs of students.

Our Shared Achievements

Communication and Digital Media

Within this course, students evolved from passive media consumers into confident digital creators. They explored issues of ethics and copyright, worked with audio in Audacity, and learned the basics of video editing. Podcasts and educational videos became not just content formats, but tools for communication and social change.

Translation Technologies

Future translators confidently mastered modern CAT tools. Students not only worked with Trados Studio but also obtained entry-level certificates. Working with terminology databases, translation memories, and multimedia projects demonstrated that digital technologies open broad opportunities for the professional development of translators.

Digital Applications in Language and Literature Teaching

Thirty-five Master’s students transformed the learning process into a true digital laboratory. From corpus analysis in SketchEngine to storytelling using AI and AR technologies (ARTutor), the outcome was a set of strong multimodal projects that combine humanities knowledge with advanced technologies.

Digital Games and Gamification in Foreign Language Teaching

The course opened new opportunities for using digital game-based tools in foreign language teaching, turning learning into an engaging and interactive experience.

This success would not have been possible without professional course developers, highly qualified teachers, and exceptionally motivated students. The next steps include integrating these courses into permanent educational programmes and exploring new horizons of digital learning.
