From March to June 2025, a series of topical webinars was held, focusing on the integration of digital technologies into language education. Thanks to fruitful cooperation with partner universities in Finland, Ireland and Greece, Ukrainian teachers, researchers and higher education students learnt about advanced digital practices, tools and teaching methodologies.
The first webinar, ‘Modern Information Technologies in Foreign Language Learning’, took place on 17 March 2025, hosted by Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University. The event brought together over 200 participants in a hybrid format. Professor Nataliia Shcherba presented interactive approaches to developing language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), as well as digital platforms for assessment, feedback and adaptive learning. The ideas presented were based on experience gained from visits to Tampere University, Maynooth University and the University of Western Macedonia.

The second webinar, ‘Digital Technologies in the Teaching Practice of Language Educators: Practical Experience’, was held on 29 April 2025, by Associate Professor Iryna Skliar from the Horlivka Institute for Foreign Languages, Donbas State Pedagogical University. She shared hands-on experience using tools like Genially, Canva and Padlet. The session served as a practical guide for teachers looking to make their lessons more creative, interactive and flexible.

The third webinar, ‘Modern Digital Tools for Language Teaching, Communication, and Collaboration’, was organised by V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on 30 May 2025. Associate Professor Olha Meleshchenko showcased how Padlet, Miro, and MagicSchoolAI can be used in language instruction and how to foster effective communication with learners. Participants from across Ukraine confirmed the relevance of digital transformation in education.

The fourth webinar, ‘Digital Toolkit for Language and Literature Teachers: Resources and Strategies’, took place on 19 June 2025, at the initiative of Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding. Presenters Lidiia Aizikova, Liubov Mykhailova and Anastasiia Cherevko discussed digital resources, case studies on integrating platforms into various teaching formats, and strategies for digital interaction between teachers and students.
